Republicans are showing their true colors

>> Friday, August 7, 2009

Just like they did when they insulted me by calling me names for commenting on their misinformation blogs, Republicans are showing their true colors again by disrupting the town hall meetings which are designed to answer questions about the health care reform bill. Instead of acting civilized by letting people speak, these right wing wackos would rather drown out the speakers like Congressman Dingell with boos and jeers. Republicans can't come up with any legitimate arguments against the health care bill, so now they have stooped to a new low by organizing a plot to disrupt the town hall meetings. If anyone wonders why I hate right wing wacko Republicans so much, now you can stop wondering. Republicans will stoop to fear mongering, they will lie, twist the truth, take statements out of context, call you names, spread propaganda and now it seems they are even willing to stand in the way of a persons free speech by drowning out their speech with boos and jeers. Republicans aren't interested in making the life of all Americans better and healthier, all they want is to have lower taxes. This bill will only raise the taxes on a person making $350,000 a year by about $1500.00 more than they are paying now. But by the way they are acting, you would think the government is taking $150,000 more from these greedy Republicans. They are all about money, greed, and deceit and when you try to take a little from them, watch out for them, because they will stop at nothing to save their precious money. If there is ever an organized effort to start a civil war against Republicans, sign me up!

Republican blogger post

>> Sunday, July 19, 2009

I know most of my visitors are getting tired of reading about the recent post I made about a few Republican bloggers, so this will be the last time I make any post about my debates with them for a while because like I said before, it's a waste of time trying to debate these Republican bloggers. I'm not going to name their blogs because I don't want to give them any undeserved publicity, but I know they'll be happy to know they can post all the lies they want and I won't waste my time leaving comments anymore. Let me just say, I tried to comment on a couple of Republican blogger posts and just like before they misquoted me, lied and called me a bunch of names. They think the only way they can win an argument with me or with any Democrat is to misquote us, lie, or call us names. Why should I or anyone else put ourselves through the aggravation of trying to debate the issues with these type of people who refuse to be sensible and respectful. I guess when they lie, the only way they can backup their lies is by misquoting and name calling. I'm not saying all Republicans are like this, but the ones I've tried to debate on the Internet are. Be forewarned, I may still make political post from time to time if I feel the need to criticize those Right Wing Wackos, but I won't debate them anymore.

In response to John Kaduk's response

>> Sunday, July 12, 2009

In response to John Kaduk's response to my last post . John thought he would retaliate me for making a post about him, so he made a post about my post. OK John, you got even, but I take exception to some of the things you said. Here are some parts I found that I disagree with...

"Our utterly confused lefty is a poor soul named Bob. Bob run’s a left wing blog and let’s just say he is a big fan of Obama and not a very big fan of the Constitution. One day Bob decided he wouldn’t be commenting on Republican blogs anymore because they dare challenge his view of the world" Here are a couple classic lines from his posts that sum up his view of things as they are:" ">Needless to say he is drinking the kool-aid. The lack of respect for history is appalling here especially since I consider myself a bit of a history buff. Saying he has no concept of history is an understatement considering he thinks Jefferson was our President 100 years ago. Kool-aid Bob’s comment is an excellent example of why nations and civilizations have fallen to tyranny since the beginning of man. What is that quote people are so fond off? I believe a variation goes like this: >Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

He starts out of course by insulting me. saying..."Our utterly confused lefty is a poor soul named Bob"
Then he suggest that I'm big fan of Obama and not a very big fan of the Constitution" To that I say, I love the Constitution and I stand by it, but I'm not a big fan of the way the Republicans interpret the Constitution to suit there beliefs.

Then he lies and says this... "One day Bob decided he wouldn’t be commenting on Republican blogs anymore because they dare challenge his view of the world". What I said was, I've finally learned my lesson and will no longer leave comments on those Republican post that I disagree with. That's a big difference to what John said that I said. Is it a lie? or is it just a mistake because he couldn't remember what I said?

Then he says... "Needless to say he is drinking the kool-aid". Another insult

Then he notices my apparent mistake of which I said Thomas Jefferson was our President 100 years ago, when in fact it was 200 years. oops I made a mistake. Whats the difference? 100 years ago is a long time ago and 200 years ago is twice as long a time ago. You can be appalled John, I don't mind.

Then he says..."Bob’s comment is an excellent example of why nations and civilizations have fallen to tyranny since the beginning of man". What is that quote people are so fond off? I believe a variation goes like this:" "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it".
Now I am or the Democratic philosophy is getting blamed for all the nations and civilizations that have fallen to tyranny. You should learn from that quote as well John because after all the mistakes the Bush administration have made in the last 8 years, you still haven't learned from them. You won't even admit the Bush administration made any mistakes.

This only goes to show that Conservatives can't make one post or comment on a blog without getting the facts wrong, lying and insulting anyone who has an opposing point of view.

A comment to my previous post

>> Thursday, July 9, 2009

Yesterday I received a comment to my previous post from John Kaduk who is obviously a Conservative. Rather reply to this comment, I wanted to address this comment in a new post to show everyone how a Conservative argues their point without giving any actual facts to backup their argument. If you haven't read my previous post, please do so along with the comments left. Here is his comment...

"A big government can exist only in theory, Just like Karl Marx's true vision of communism can only exist in theory. A big government will always have access to too much power. and when a President can fire a CEO and make decisions of life and death (through healthcare), that is hardly "limited power. " A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have"-Thomas Jefferson" by John Kaduk Added note: It turns out Jefferson was misquoted as saying that, it was Gerald Ford who said that, Jefferson actually said "The natural progress for things is for liberty to yield and government to gain control". Which I believe will happen when liberties are abused.

Notice how he states "big government can exist only in theory" then uses Karl Marx's visions from the 18oo's to back up his statement. Where are the facts? Then he says our President fired a CEO. I think he is referring to GM CEO Rick Wagoner. Obama didn't fire him, he merely told GM if they wanted to get a loan from the government, they would have to replace the CEO. Wagoner in turn stepped down. Then he says our President is making decisions of life and death by trying to get healthcare for every American. That is laughable and ridiculous to say the least. If any President made decisions of life and death, it was Bush when he started a war with Iraq based on lies to help his oil buddies. Then he finished his comment with a misquote from Thomas Jefferson who was an intelligent Republican leader and was our third President 100 200 ago. It was actually Gerald Ford, but I would tell Mr. Ford that a government small enough to give the rich everything they want is small enough to take everything away from the middle class and poor. Correction: I was wrong, Jefferson was President 200 years ago.
Note: to anyone who finds it necessary to leave insulting comments, you run the risk of having your comment rejected. That means you Bobo

Commenting on a Republican's blog

>> Sunday, July 5, 2009

Speaking of commenting on a Republican's blog. I've noticed that most of the time I'm the only Democrat who leaves comments on post that I disagree with. Then all the Republican followers of that particular blog all start commenting on my comment with a condescending attitude. If 5 or 6 Republicans leave a argumentative comment to my comment, how am I suppose to a reply to all those arguments in one comment without writing a 1000 word comment. I don't have time for that, and I don't have the patience to put up with the criticism and put downs. I think this is the reason most Democrats don't leave comments on Republican blogs, because they already know that it's useless to try to make someone see your point of view if their mind is closed to opposing points of view. I've finally learned my lesson and will no longer leave comments on those Republican post that I disagree with. The Republicans agenda is much different than the Democrats agenda. The Republicans want to have smaller government to help the rich get richer and destroy the middle class and their willing to lie and use fear mongering to accomplish their goals. The Democrats want bigger government to give the middle class and poor a fairer playing field. I can only hope that most Americans continue to support Obama and the Democrats in our quest to make America a better place to live for all Americans, not just the rich.

Another Unhappy Republican

>> Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Another unhappy Republican was so upset with my comment on his post, he made a post addressed directly to me of which he titled, Wake Up Bob. He even added a picture of some guy with his head buried in the sand. I'm thinking he posed for that picture personally. Because he goes by the name Lot2Learn, I ended my comment to his post with the phrase " Lot2Learn really does have a lot to learn". Apparently this was enough for him to dedicate an entire post to me. So I'll return the favor. In his post he suggests that I'm living in a kool-aid induced wonderland and even goes so far as to call me and all other people who support Obama, Zombies. He also says he can only imagine that in my mind that Obama and our government should make all decisions for us, feed us, clothe us, keep us healthy and give us a job. Wrong! Lot2Learn has a big imagination and a lot to learn. I believe Obama is doing what he has to do to fix the worst recession since the great depression that he inherited from the Bush administration. I believe Bush was the one who coined the phrase "I'm the decider". Obama doesn't want to make my decisions, he wants to make the Presidents decisions. Obama doesn't want to feed us or clothe us, he wants to give us the ability to feed and clothe ourselves. Obama doesn't want to keep us healthy, he just wants every American to have affordable health insurance. If you can't understand that then maybe you are the one who is a Zombie. In his post he also says that a President should represent all Americans, not just the far left. Isn't that what Bush did? He only represented the far right. Whether Republicans realize it or not, Obama is representing all Americans. Just because he raised the taxes on people making over $250,000 a year, greedy Republicans are crying because they might lose a few dollars. Then he goes on to remind me and all the other Zombies who support Obama that this is the greatest nation on earth, and what our fathers and grandfathers, and great grandfathers fought for, and lets remember the men and women that stand watch for you 24 hours a day so that you can be free. Lots2Learn, I don't need you to remind me, I never forget that, but if we don't let our government regulate some of those freedoms we will lose them to the rich conservatives who want nothing more than to control our government. Lot2Learn, your nickname is really appropriate because you really did miss something.

Michael Jackson's Untimely Death

>> Friday, June 26, 2009

It seems everyone is blogging about Michael Jackson's untimely death, so I might as well weigh in with my thoughts as well. I am saddened that the king of pop has died so young. I loved his music, especially Thriller, Billy Jean and Beat It. I hated what he did with his plastic surgery and I think that he was very good looking before he started changing his face. To Michael Jackson, thank you for sharing your music with the world. All your fans will miss you and remember you through your music.

I Had An Accident Today

>> Saturday, June 20, 2009

I had an accident today that could have been avoided if I had been watching my 16 month old son better. I let my son go upstairs while I followed behind him making sure he didn't fall. But after we were upstairs for only a minute, I took my eyes off him for maybe 5 seconds which was long enough for him to make his way back to the stairway where when I saw him, he was getting ready to take a step down, so I ran as fast as I could to try and stop him from falling down the stairs and by the time I reached him he was already stepping down and beginning to fall. I was running so fast I couldn't stop and ended up tumbling over his head while pulling him back. I continued tumbling all the way down the stairs while my son tumbled down after me landing on top of me. Fortunately he wasn't injured but I ended up with a few bumps, scrapes and bruises and a broken toe that was sticking straight out sideways. I had to go to the hospital to get it set back into place today. Now I'm sitting here with a broken toe, thanking God that my son is OK. I have learned a valuable lesson, which is never take my son out of my site if there is a danger of him getting hurt or injured.

Information Entrecard Droppers Should Know

>> Thursday, June 18, 2009

I have some information Entrecard Droppers should know. Using EC is a great tool to get visitors to come to your site. But one thing EC doesn't do is to get the visitors to stay and read your post. This can be a problem if most of your visitors are just staying a few seconds which is long enough to make a drop and then leave. If you want to know how long visitors are staying at your website, you need to find out the bounce rate of your site. You can get the bounce rate by using google analytics. I was surprized to find out my bounce rate is 91 %, which means 91% percent of my visitors are just staying long enough to make a EC drop, then leaving. That is why I made this post today. I'm hoping that when all you EC droppers read the title of this post you will stay long enough to read it and lower my bounce rate. I know now that Entrecard can bring you visitors, but if you have nothing interesting to make people stay, then they will just leave and continue dropping other sites. In the future I hope I can find more interesting topics for my visitors to read.

President Obama's plan

>> Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Newt Gingrich who was forced from the house in disgrace 10 years ago was hoping to rally support for a potential Presidential run in 2012, said in a speech Monday to 2000 Republican loyalists "President Obama's plan to fix the economy through stimulus spending and government intervention to boost companies like General Motors has "already failed." Sorry Newt, but the only thing Obama has failed at doing so far is rallying support from Republicans for his attempts to save this economy from going into a depression. I say, You can't fix an economy in 6 months that took 8 years for the Bush administration to destroy. Newt also said "Bureaucrats managing companies does not work, politicians dominating the economy does not work" Who the hell made Newt Gingrinch an expert on what works to help the economy? Newt also said "I am not a citizen of this world" making an attempt to show he disagrees with Obama's statement " I am a citizen of this world". Who the f*** cares Newt Gingrinch? Most of us wish you were not a citizen of this United States as well because you are fighting against helping the United States improve this economy. Newt Gingrich if you're hoping to be elected President in 2012, you have already failed, just as you have failed to help the United States fix our economy. Same goes to Palin. Obama will fix this economy and will go on to be President until 2016.

Go Detroit Red Wings

>> Saturday, May 30, 2009

Go Red Wings!!! The Detroit Red Wings start their final series against the Pittsburgh Penguins today at 8:00 pm. This is a rematch of the previous season's Stanley Cup finalists when the Red Wings defeated the Penguins in 6 games. This time I predict the series will go to at least 6 games again. The Red Wings are starting this series without two star players, Pavel Daksyuk and Kris Draper but I expect others players will pick up the slack as they did in the series against the Black Hawks but at least they will have captain Nicklas Lidstrom back in the lineup for game one today. Some game analysts are predicting that the defending champion Red Wings can't beat the Penguins this year, we will see, I think the Wings can win and will win in 6 or 7 games. Go Wings!!!

Update: 1 The Red Wings beat the Penguins 3-1 in game one. They play again some time Sunday.
Update: 2 The Red Wings beat the Penguins 3-1 in game two. They now lead the series 2-0 and the next game is in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Go Wings!!!
Update: 3 The Penguins beat the Red Wings 4-2. The Red Wings still lead the series 2-1 and will soon lead the series 3-1.
Update: 4 & 5 The Penguins beat the Red Wings in game four 4-2 but the Red Wings beat the Penguins in game five 5-0. The Red Wings now lead the series 3-2 and can win the Stanley Cup in Pittsburgh this Tuesday. Go Wings!!!
Update: 6 The Penguins beat the Red Wings 2-1 in Pittsburgh to tie the series 3-3. Game 7 is in Detroit Friday at 8:00 pm. The Red Wings are favored to win the cup. Go Wings!!!

Installing Carpet

>> Sunday, May 24, 2009

I haven't made a post in this blog in about 8 days because I've been a little busy. A few months ago I posted about how I bought some carpet that was used in the Detroit Auto Show. Well, I finally started installing it upstairs. I've only been doing a little bit at a time because I try to only work when my 15 month old son is sleeping, otherwise he cries and gives his mother a hard time until she has to bring him upstairs to watch me, which takes her away from her chores downstairs. Anyway, a few more days work and I'll be finished upstairs, then I can start installing carpet downstairs. My blog will suffer from lack of post, but at least I can continue making 300 EC drops every day.
